Ornat Lempert

Self-directed Residency

Ornat Lempert is a theatre-maker, performer and singer, a recipient of the Sharett Foundation Award,
she is the artistic director of The Lady Theatre, working in Israel and across Europe. Her work combines visual theatre, live singing, documentary materials and playful, sharp humor, moving between emotional depth and a mischievous gaze on the world.

Her recent work, Mother of Three Sons, opened a trilogy exploring motherhood and identity.
She is currently developing R U OK?, born out of the rupture of October 7 and unfolding through artistic residencies in Portugal and Greece, where she gathers voices and conversations that become embedded in the performance. The piece places humanity and vulnerability at its center in a polarized world, from the perspective of an artist born into a complex and contested reality.

The project is currently in active development through international residencies and is expected to evolve toward a full presentation in European cultural venues in the coming year.
