Ross Deeley

Argo x RCA Residency

Ross Deeley (b. 2001, UK) is an artist working across and in-between sculpture, photography, and moving image.

Deeley’s work is a meditation on the passage of time, explored through the materiality of found objects and the embedded histories and mythologies they carry. Light, through an alchemical process, is used to explore temporality and our relationship to the Anthropocene’s ever-changing environment; conjuring the latent energy of mundane and discarded materials.
His process is influenced by modern philosophical movements such as Thing Theory and Object-Oriented Ontology, highlighting how non-human entities exist within time; and how they perceive and absorb information beyond human understanding.

He has exhibited both nationally and internationally. Previously having shown work at Somerset House, net.cultural club MaMa, Genesis Cinema, and The Handbag Factory, and has collaborated with Montez Press Radio. In 2025, he graduated from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Contemporary Art Practice.
He previously completed an undergraduate degree in Fine Art from the Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts (LICA) at Lancaster University.
